Whittlesea Country Music Festival – Free community event

For over 15 years, the Whittlesea “Country” Music festival has been an annual highlight to the local community, held on the second Saturday of February every year. Run by volunteers, the festival hosts a large array of country music styles which has something for just about everyone.

Friday 9th February
Kicking off the festival, the Whittlesea Bowls Club hosts an evening of entertainment. The bands kicking off at 7pm with free entry, but if you would like to have dinner prior to the show please call the Bowls Club to make a reservation for a table on 9716 1966.

Saturday 10th February (10am – 2pm)
In full swing, Saturday’s street party between 10am and 2pm, will be taking on a new look with buskers along Church St and Word Weavers reading poetry for your enjoyment. And they haven’t forgotten the kids, there’ll also be an animal farm. Local shops will be trading as normal, so pop in and say hi to show your support.

Saturday 10th February (3pm – 9pm)
Twilight Night at Walker Reserve is the finale of the festival and the main event. With a great line up of Aussie country music, rides in carnival corner, food stalls and more, it’s a family event not to be missed. So, pack a picnic or purchase some delicious food from one of the local food stall holders, bring a rug and chair and make yourself comfortable for a night of entertainment. It’s all about the atmosphere and we have a wonderful night planned. Don’t forget about the fireworks (weather permitting), later in the evening for a spectacular showcase.

So, come out to Whittlesea “Country” and enjoy all our festival has to offer.
